Oak panels dye stained red and lightly distressed for that barn board look. Ok, so it's not really like an old red barn board, but I thought it would be interesting to give a nod to all those red barns out there.
I normally shy away from oak (probably because so much boring furniture is made from it) but a customer requested this and I loved the idea. I grew up on a farm and this style reminds me of our old barn (though ours wasn't red).
Finished in a matte polycrylic (because when was the last time you saw glossy barn wood?) which will not amber with age.
NOTE: There are only 2 sets of these panels. The set you receive may be different from the one in the picture, but all are from the same piece of stock.
